for joining in the indian army you have two ways .......
you can enter through ues exam or through cds exam both are conducted through upsc

yif you want to directly join the army then you have to write cds exam ,
this exam is conducted twice an year,
the syllabus consists of general awareness and simple mathematics,
you have to choose among army,navy,and air force,but for air force you should have perfect eye sight and also pass the required medical standards,

Age limit for UES is 27 years,and serial nos 2,3 are 24 years.

The ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for INDIAN ARMY is as follows:-


Technical Entry Scheme (TES) for male 10+2 (PCM) candidates.

10+2 Pass unmarried make candidates with Physic, Chemistry & Maths (PCM) with a minimum of 70% marks and between the age of 16½ and 19½ Years are eligible for the grant of permanent commission in the Army after 4 Years of technical military training with prescribed terms eligible candidates are invited through advertisement in the Employment News and other prominent dailies.

The candidates must have a 6/6 eyesight in each eye with or without glasses and a minimum height of 157.5 cm with chest expansion of 5 cm.

Candidates have to clear total training period of 5 Years including 1 Year of Basic Military training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun and 4 Years of Technical training at Pune Secunderabad.

On successful completion of course, cadets are granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant as also an Engineering degree.

These exams are conducted for candidates to join in Indian Army and Navy.If you are interested in joining the defence forces you must write these exams and the thing is that if you want to write these exams you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria framed by these exams.The eligibility criteria for these exams are as follows:

Eligibility for NDA and CDS:

For writing these exams,the candidate must be a
citizen of India
and must strictly be a
unmarried male candidate

The age limit for the exams are that the candidate must have a age limit of

NDA exam

This exam is conducted for candidates to join in Indian Navy force.The eligibility criteria's are:

The candidate who is applying for this exam must be a citizen of India and should be a unmarried male candidate.

Candidate should have a age limit of 19 1/2-25 years.

Regarding the education qualification for the SSC Exam candidate need to have completed a Engineering/Technology degree with 55% aggregate from a recognized university.

Candidate should be physically fit while appearing for the SSC exam

If you are interested in Indian Army then you must have these following criteria :

Height :You must have minimum 165 cm height.

Weight :You weight should be minimum 60Kg.

Eyesight :Your eyesight should be minimum 6/6 and should have no color blindness.

##Physically handicapped students are not allowed.
