Eligibility Criterion for Experienced Non-Executive Personnel in IOC
Indian Oil Corporation has invited application for the recruitment of experienced Non-Executive staffs in the post of Junior Assistant Engineer in various departments. Bachelors degree/ diploma in respective subjects with first class marks is the minimum educational qualification. Those who fall in the age group of 18 to 26 years can apply.
Educational Qualification
Candidates having the following educational qualification are eligible to apply for the respective post in Indian Oil Corporation.
Junior Assistant Engineer (Production): Candidates who have completed Bachelors program in Science subjects with Chemistry as main subject are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates should have studied Physics as well as Mathematics as sub subjects. In addition to this, candidates who have completed diploma in Chemical Engineering or Petrochemical Engineering can also apply. They should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination so as to be eligible. Those who are belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe require a mere pass in qualifying examination. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years work experience in respective areas.
Junior Assistant Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in any of the following disciplines from a recognized institute is the required educational qualification.
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Power Electronics Engineering
Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate so as to be eligible. They should have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in switching operations as well as respective areas.
Junior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical): Full time diploma in any of the following subjects is the required qualification for this post.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Minimum marks required for qualification is 60% in aggregate in qualifying examination. Reserved category candidates require a mere pass so as to be eligible. In addition to this, candidates should have first class certificate in Boiler Competency Course. They should have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in operation of boilers and fuel handling.
Junior Assistant Engineer (Maintenance-Mechanic): Those who have secured first class diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in maintenance from a recognized board of examination are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe are required to have a pass mark in qualifying examination so as to be eligible. Those who have completed the courses from industrial training institutes are also eligible to apply for this post.
Diploma holders are required to have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in relevant field. Required work experience for ITI candidates is 5 years.
Age Restrictions
Those who have completed a minimum of 18 years at the time of application are only eligible to apply. Upper age limit is 26 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible to avail relaxation in upper age limit as per the norms issued by the Government of India.
