Merchant Navy After 12th
The Merchant Navy entrance test is carried out for the admittance of aspirants into its engineering and navigational fields. The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is carried out mainly for assessing the aspirants’ understanding in mathematics, chemistry and physics. Students who clear the exam with good marks will be needed to appear for an interview.
Eligibility for Merchant Navy Entrance Exam
A pass in class 12 is needed by students who wish to appear for the IIT JEE. They should also have learned mathematics and Chemistry in class 12. They should also have studies physics. A graduate degree in Marine Engineering or Nautical Science is needed for those aspirants who desire to join the engineering or navigation fields in the merchant navy. Aspirants who have finished their Bachelors degree in Technical, Mechanical or electrical engineering are eligible to join the Merchant Navy as Fifth Engineer or Engine Cadet.
Preparing For the Merchant Navy Exam
A time table must be prepared by the students before they start their preparation. They can allot a specific time for each of their study topics. Doing this will ensure that they have sufficient time to cover all portions. Besides this, they will also learn to manage their time. Model papers of the previous years can be got from the internet or from book stores. They can be bought and be practiced on by students.
Students must understand the importance of this exam before they start preparing. A systematic approach will enable them to secure a good score. Only by scoring good marks in this exam will they be able to join the merchant navy.
