the minimum qualification for joining merchant navy ....is to have either 12th pass or diploma from any branch........

so you can apply for the course...
all you have to do is to apply at any institute of merchant navy and go for a course of your choice for 3 months ....

you might have to give a exam by ignou ........scoring in which you will be allotted a college or institute on the basis of your marks......

if you are a sponsored candidate then you will be given a privilege to attend your course at the institute or company which sponsored you........

you can apply for sponsorship at torm shipping, namac ,anglo eastern shipping....
all you have to do is to appear for a qualifying exam and an interview along with a medical exam......

yes you can join merchant navy after completing your diploma in electronics and telecommunication..............you do one 6 months sea course and then apply for the institute you wish to join........

then after your 2 years training period get over you can go for the company you wish to work for..............

There are too many process to join in navy.
So option is diploma also.
You are eligible for joining merchant navy after diploma in electronics & telecommunication engineering.
Then try your luck in navy but you have to face some exam, interview and training process.

There is no problem, you can join the merchant navy,as you have a diploma certificate so you can apply, because for it either 12th or diploma certificate is needed,
so you can apply.

engineering. So you are eigible for joining merchant navy. But from my

opinion first you go for marine engineering; then join merchant navy.

definately you can join in indian army now.
as diploma is equivalent to 12th. so you can aapear in NDA exam.

but it will better for you if you join india army after 12th.

if you join indian army through NDA exam, then it will be best option for you.

if you join army through NDA exam, then you will get good post in army.

there are some entrance exam for Merchant navy.....
so, you have to appear in those exams..

you can appear in those exams for merchant navy after your 12th, as you have done diploma which is equivalent to 12th....

i am join the merchant navy. i am diploma holder in electronics engg. after then i am join the indian coast guard. then . i am complted the two year marine course and one year exp. of ship traning.then iam leave the indian coast guard. so i amjoin the merchant navy

The educational qualifications required for joining merchant navy is 10+2 or a bachelors degree in engineering.
So, you can join merchant navy on the basis of your 10+2 qualification.

Direct entry to Merchant Navy is possible for candidates who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). They are eligible to join as Deck Cadets.
Direct entry Deck Cadets are required to undergo basic pre-sea training arranged by the recruiting company itself.
