To become an IPS(Indian Police Service) officer one
has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year bu applying and appearing the examination. The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness. Apart from this the candidate should maintain the minimum Physical requirements such as:- HEIGHT:- General Male-165cm and Female-150cm whikle SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. CHEST:- Male-85cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases. The civil Service exam can be applied through both off line and on line mode by paying requisite fee for the exam. appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness. 21-33(OBC) 21-35(SC/ST/PD) those kind of people only apply for this exam........ 3 steps of process are follows 1. Preliminary Test. 2. Main. 3. Personal Interview. |

Candidate should satisfy the following conditions in order to be able to appear for the Civil Service Exams :-
candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized college.. candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years for General category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST first complete graduation to be eligible for test. Also there is a minimum age requirement of 21 years. You can however start preparing for the exam especially the General Knowledge section. Make it a point to read the newspaper daily. You can prepare for the optional subject by selecting one on the basis of the area of graduation and you can chek from website www.upsc.gov |

Hi,
A 10+2 pass candidate cannot apply for IPS or IAS exam. IPS, IAS and IFS exams are conducted by UPSC in the form of CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test. There is eligibility criteria to apply for CSAT , which are - Minimum graduation in any discipline from a recognised university of India. Age should be between 21 -30 years. So, you can apply for CSAT only when you complete graduation. Now , you have ample of time for the preparation of civil services. make the most of it. |

It is not possible to become an IPS officer after 12th as the minimum academic qualification for it is Graduation.

Indian Police Service(IPS) - To become an IPS ooficer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
It is not possible to become an IPS officer after 12th as the minimumeducatinal qualification for IPS is Graduation. The eligible candidate wishing to become an IPS office, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness. The aspiring candidate for IPS should have maintained a minimum prescribed Physical retirement such as:- HEIGHT:- General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases. The selection is through two stages of written exam followed by Personal interview. The eligible candidate applying for Civil Service exam is called for a Preliminary exam also called as CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test and the candidate selected out of it is called for Civil Service Main Exam and the final selection is through Personal Interview out of the candidate selected from Main Exam. If you want to apply IPS Officer exam then first you have complete your Graduation degree becuse after completed 12th class you are not eligible to apply this exam.
IPS stands for Indian Police Service. IPS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam in every year. For apply Civil Services exam:- Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. |
