Indian Army is one of the supreme forces of our Nation. It has been safeguarding us from a very long time. It is highly commendable for its great work for the country and serving its people with shear responsibility and enthusiasm. Managing and protecting the national borders is one of the main aim or prime objective of the Indian army. The army is popularly known as one of the wings of our defence besides the Indian Navy and Airforce.

Job Profile:

Indian Army is inviting applications from married or unmarried Engineering Graduates for grant of permanent commission to the Indian Army. Candidates who are serving personnel of the regular Army, Territorial Army, Navy and Airforce are also eligible to apply for the specified posts.

Eligibility:

The very first eligibility criteria for the specified post is that candidates should be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan. Candidates must be born between 2 July 1984 to 1 July 1991.Also the minimum acceptable height and weight for the male candidates is 157.5 cms with correlated weight while for women candidates its. 152 cms with 42 Kg weight.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates who are in the final year of Engineering degree and who are qualified graduates of the degree course in engineering are eligible to apply. Candidates (who are in final year of Engineering degree) are required to produce the engineering degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training.

No. of posts: Total 65 posts are available in the different departments of the Indian Army.

Pay Scale: Before the completion of the period of training, candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21000 per month. However, after the completion of the training, officers will be commissioned as Lt and entitled to the payband of Rs. 15600-39100 with DA at present and other benefits.

Selection Process:

Only eligible candidates will be called for SSB that will be taken by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. It is noteworthy that candidates will not be interviewed locally and selection centre will be alloted to each group of candidates. Candidates will not be allowed to make any request for changing the allotted selection centre. A medical test will also need to faced by the qualified candidates of this personal interview test.
